Stop apologizing for working on yourself.
In fact. Flaunt that growth.
If you feel like a hot mess for not being PERFECT, honor that shit and write it on your forehead.
Because we are all in the mess.
Adulthood is no joke. Gee thanks for the heads up, every adult ever. "Just wait until your old enough to.."
----> "Are you forreal?" --- every young adult, everywhere.
NOBODY HAS IT TOGETHER.
TOGETHER should be your primary focus though.
We get through this shit as a village. A collective.
Every single thing we have to do is hard. Until it is not.
When we show up consistently and we work hard on ourselves, it starts to feel more natural.
I have trusted all of you to witness my growth.
To watch my zip around in different directions, because growth is not linear.
To see my good and my bad days. As I share them openly in order to remind you all we each have the same pulse and worries.
I have trusted all of you to not dig too deep into why I change my mind or revisit things. Why I ditch things. Or set boundaries. And then sometimes break them myself.
I am still learning what it takes to show up and be someone I can be proud of.
In essence, every single day I am under construction.
If I had to wait for the perfect day to tell you have reached my full potential, I'd never show up at all.
Perfectionism and fears will only make me chase my own tail.
So here I am, with ever evolving ideas and perspectives. Stories told sometimes repeatedly. Points made from different angles.
My website might eb and flow.
Maybe I will change my name. Or my logo. Or my brand.
Maybe I will dye my hair.
Maybe some days I will be brave and bold while other days I am hysterical and shaky.
But I promise to be authentic. Transparent. To stay embracing the changes and allowing you to witness them.
Knowing and trusting that when you see me under construction you TOO feel like it's ok to validate baby steps.
You can honor yourself without idealizing the concept of "whole".
In fact. F*CK WHOLENESS.
And demand the patience from others. Make that your boundary. ♡
Get in front of a mirror and tell yourself:
"I just love to watch you grow." ♡
Because growth and progress are beautiful reminders that moving forward is the only way to heal.
